THE TEACHERS AND STAFF AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE ARE UNITED IN THEIR BELIEF THAT ALL CHILDREN:
No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why we teach, using all the learning modalities to enhance the individual learning style for every child. Our instructional delivery combines direct instruction, small-group work, and one-on-one tutoring in a way that works for the student.

Grandma's House uses the natural curiosity of children to teach math, language arts, reading and critical thinking skills during instruction. Instructional delivery is done:

Grandma's House takes a whole-child approach to elementary education. Our volunteers work together to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every child we serve.
We tutor Tuesday - Thursday from 2:30 - 5:00. We run two sessions per day:
Session I: Kindergarten - Third Grade 2:30 - 3:45
Session II: Fourth - Sixth Grade 3:45 - 4:45

Prior to each session Grandma's House provides a Family Style afterschool snack. This is a time when we have, "Table Talk". It is a time to talk to the students about their day. During this time, we celebrate the student's day, give support for students who had a day that could have been better and the students support each other.
