"TABLE TALK AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE"
Prior to each session Grandma's House provides a Family Style afterschool snack. This is a time when we have, "Table Talk". It is a time to talk to the students about their day. During this time, we celebrate the student's day, give support for students who had a day that could have been better and the students support each other.
THE TEACHERS AND STAFF AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE ARE UNITED IN THEIR BELIEF THAT ALL CHILDREN:
No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why we teach, using all the learning modalities to enhance the individual learning style for every child. Our instructional delivery combines direct instruction, small-group work, and one-on-one tutoring in a way that works for the student.
One of the core themes at Grandma's House is, "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child". This theme promotes community involvement, as we strive to build a village, one person/partnership at a time.
